These terms govern the website, workspace and API. Use an account only if you can enter into this agreement and are authorized to act for any organization you represent.
ProtoScrape collects structured observations from supported search and AI services. It is an independent service and is not affiliated with those platforms. Available engines, request parameters and credit weights are shown in the workspace and API documentation. Perplexity is available in early access with variable query coverage. A complete answer and source links are not guaranteed for every request.
Accounts and acceptable use
Provide an email you control, verify it and protect your credentials. You are responsible for authorized activity under your API keys. Revoke exposed keys promptly and report suspected compromise. Follow our acceptable-use policy and applicable law. You must have the rights and permissions needed for submitted information and your use of results.
Plans, credits and renewals
Developer costs US$29 per month for 10,000 credits, Growth US$99 for 50,000 credits, and Scale US$299 for 200,000 credits. Checkout displays the amount payable before you confirm. Your bank may apply currency conversion or other fees. Plans renew monthly until cancelled. There are no automatic overage charges.
Credits are added only after Stripe confirms a qualifying paid invoice. Credits are reserved when a job is accepted, charged when it succeeds and released when it fails, expires or is cancelled before settlement. Engine weights are Google SERP: 1 credit; Google AI Mode: 5; ChatGPT: 8. Unused credits roll over. Credits cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or used as money. Cancellation ends future renewals; remaining credits stay available while the account remains open, subject to these terms.
Use Manage subscription in the workspace to cancel at the end of the current billing period, view invoices or update a payment method. See our cancellation, withdrawal and refund policy for billing problems and statutory rights. Price or material service changes will be communicated before applying to future renewals; you can cancel before the change takes effect.
Results, availability and retention
AI answers and search rankings change, may contain errors and may omit citations. Verify results before relying on them. We do not promise a specific ranking, answer, citation count, throughput or continuous availability. This is an early-access service without a contractual uptime SLA. Queues, retries, rate limits and engine availability can affect completion time.
Download your results promptly: jobs and results are scheduled for deletion after seven days. We may change or disable an engine when it becomes unreliable. No credits are reserved for requests rejected because an engine is unavailable.
Rights, suspension and closing an account
You retain your rights in material you submit. You permit us and necessary providers to process it to deliver your request. Results may contain third-party material; access through the API does not grant ownership or remove third-party rights.
We may restrict access for misuse, a compromised account, fraud, a payment dispute or a material breach, and review the issue with you when lawful and practical. We do not automatically award replacement credits or refunds for these events. To close your account, use the privacy request option in the workspace or email support. Cancel any paid subscription as part of closure; support will confirm the billing and deletion steps.
Responsibility and disputes
Each party remains responsible for its obligations under applicable law. Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Contact support with a complaint so we can investigate and respond. Mandatory rights to use a competent court or applicable dispute-resolution procedure remain unaffected.
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy. This version is dated above; material changes will be communicated to affected customers before taking effect.
